Laura is from rural Indiana and grew up roaming the woods, sketchbook in hand, drawing leaves, mushrooms and a fairy or two. With a degree in Communication Arts from ISU, she spent her early career as the "graphic designer that could really draw", working in corporate marketing for Melvin Simon Associates and several ad agencies in Indianapolis.
Along with her husband, son and a chocolate lab named Mousse, the family moved to Buffalo. Laura landed an art director position for Rich Food's Magazine and then moved on to freelance for Fisher-Price, soon hired as staff artist. After four snowy years in Buffalo, her husband was offered a job in Tampa. Laura and her family have been enjoying lovely Florida for over nine years.
Laura's now living her dream as an illustrator, sharing her studio with two boisterous Boxers, and when not at the drawing board, you can find her at the dog park or on the beach with her husband.
