After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth campus in 1972 with a BFA in Illustration and Design, I moved to Boston.
I worked for a few years at Rust Craft Greeting cards, rendering humorous cards for all occasions with acrylic paints on art board. From there I worked for a small design studio which taught me never to work in a small design studio.
I recently left my day job of 33 years as a senior designer for The Boston Globe's in-house advertising agency. My job required the full use of all Adobe software including Illustrator, which is my choice for my illustration work.
I now have an illustration studio of my own at home. Along with my wife and two daughters, we live in a pre -1800 Cape in Quincy, MA... just a block up the street from the birthplace of President John Adams
and his son, John Quincy Adams.
