With a background in graphic design and over 20 years experience as an illustrator, Liz’s illustrations are a bold and vivid expression of color, texture and design. In a style she affectionately refers to as “cut-paper-mixed-media,” she combines cut, printed, and handmade papers with hand-carved rubber stamps, colored pencils, pastels, and “whatever else might make a piece more interesting.”
Her sense of humor and whimsy, along with her bright bold palette, has landed her extensive work in children’s publishing. Whether it’s kindergarten “Big Books” or early readers in the educational market, or trade lift-the-flap books, board books, activity books, or picture books, Liz brings her unique style, and sense of design to each project.
