Illustration as Second Nature

Ray Lengele is a Belgian artist, painter and illustrator, born in the Belgian Congo, Africa in 1953. He moved to Belgium in the 1960's graduating from the Academy of Arts in Brussels. He has enjoyed a successful career as an award winning commercial artist. Ray lives and works in Montreal Canada.

He makes each illustration an intimate, humorous and instinctive experience in a never-ending search to encounter the unknown. Ray is usually characterized as witty with a very original style.

Rays numerous clients have included Kellogs, Esso, Coke, Perrier, Lego, Spirou, Flair, the Soccer World Cup and many more. He has created advertising illustrations and TV animations for many companies in North America and Europe.
